Mods are at the discretion of the owner and will be accessed by management and owners regularly.
Do not be offended if you do not have mods, in many cases mods only cause more problems than they solve and we are all here to have fun. If you are here to be an "enforcer" then Zombie Massacre may not be the best lounge for you. We believe that adults really can act like adults in most cases leaving no real need to moderate, however occasions do arise and some people will be trusted to recognize a potential negative or dramatic event and resolve the issue with as little conflict as possible.
USE OF MODS:
The owners of the lounge are able to see what mods are being by used by whom and what they are being used for in the "lounge history" section of the owners pages . These are checked regularly for abuse. If you are found abusing your mods for personal advantage and not in the best interest of the lounge they will be removed.
Mods are not given as rewards; they are given to effectively enforce the policies of the lounge in the best interest of the lounge. Because you do not have mods does not mean that you are not liked, or trusted, it simply means that there is no foreseen need for them.
FIRST:
SILENCE!!!
Most staff will have silence given to them at some point. This is the most preferred method of enforcement.
By silencing you put an end to the drama quickly and without making a scene in the lounge. If you silence someone it is your responsibility to do 1 of two things:
A. Contact a manager and let them know what is happening, that you had to silence the
individual(s) and ask them to handle the situation or,
B. Go to the persons chat box (sb) or yim and explain why you silenced them and ask them if they can comply with the rules. If they agree to comply, unsilence them. Then Notify management and owner of situation.
C. Do not supercede another staff members action without first consulting management or an owner.
If they do not agree to comply or do not respond do not unsilence and copy the conversation to an owner or manager, preferably mass to all managers.
EJECT!!!
Eject is nothing more than a public display of power. It does not resolve anything. Silence last for an hour, ejecting only lasts a few minutes. If you don’t want drama, don’t use this option. Some people also find offense and fear public embarrassment of misuse of this option. Please be considerate and pamper the feelings of overly sensitive e-tards that cannot handle the intensity of public forums.
Ejecting is the primary way that you can immediately remove someone violating the cam rules and should be reserved primarily for that purpose alone.
Only the owners have the ability to ban a member from the cams. (again, once they are banned there will be no way to unban them)
BAN!!!
Only owners, managers and a few dj's have the ability to ban.
In cases where all other attempts to resolve the conflict have been exhausted a staff member with ban capabilities may ban a person from the lounge.
Banned members will not be unbanned without good cause.
Banning should be a LAST RESORT!
(exception : Spammers flooding the lounge is an automatic ban)
